Littlebourne hosts the best international flair with local flavours

Internationally renowned chef Matt Moran hosted an incredible event at Littlebourne to showcase food and wine from the Bathurst region.

Working with chef Drew Bolton from the Milbery in Oberon, magic was made in the Littlebourne kitchen then served to guests from the media, tourism industries and local producers. Conversations began with servings of delicious canapes including:

The Littlebourne mahogany dinner table was then laden as the official feast began with:

  • Brookside bakery sourdough and lashings of CopperTree butter

  • Rainbow trout air-dried then lightly grilled with local lemon oil & capers

  • Magra lamb shoulder baked and served with fresh mint salsa

  • Fardon & Sons beetroot salad, pinenuts, rocket & balsamic

  • Baked gnocchi dressed in fresh local herbs and oils

  • Slow roasted pumpkin, Snug Farm black garlic, goats cheese

And then the sweetest finishing notes were provided by:

  • Tarte tatin featuring apples marinated in Bathurst Grange whisky

  • Home made Milbrey vanilla ice cream

  • Handmade chocolates

As good foodies understand, a complete culinary experience includes a range of perfectly matched wines Renzaglia, Winburndale and Vale Creek. Spirits were supplied by The Bathurst Grange and a cheeky brew or two from Reckless. The local producers put some cracking drops on the table for guests to savour.

  • Winburndale Golden Gully Pinot Gris

  • Vale Creek 2023 Rose Sangiovese
